We will be writing and mailing letters next week. We get to take a trip to the Post Office to do so. Please watch the following video to learn the basic steps of writing a letter. Help your child write a rough draft of a letter to a friend. We will write the final draft and mail the letters at school. Below, you will find a list of partners that will be writing to each other. The letter should include the date, greeting, body, closing, and signature. In the body of the letter, please include at least 1 question to ask the friend such as "How are you?" or "Do you like dinosaurs?" Also, we have been working on writing first and last names so the signature should include both. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Example letter
Dear Mrs. Toby, 1/31/19 I have really missed our class these last 3 days. I wonder what they have been up to. What have you been doing? Did you play in the snow? I did not because it was too cold. I really enjoyed cuddling with my dogs and cooking some yummy soup.
Your friend, Miss Hickner
